Functional GI Diagnostics

The Product Course offered at Diversatek University provides clinical users with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively acquire and analyze High Resolution Impedance Manometry studies, Impedance/pH Reflux Monitoring studies and High Resolution Anorectal Manometry studies at our training center in Denver, Colorado.

During this three-day comprehensive product training course, attendees will learn the necessary skills to perform manometry and reflux studies using Zvu® Software, an inSIGHT Ultima® System for esophageal manometry, and a ZepHr® Recorder for reflux monitoring. Acquisition and analysis skills are reinforced through multiple Hands-on Sessions with Clinical Specialists.

Who should attend

Allied Health Professionals and Physicians using equipment from Diversatek Healthcare and/or analyze studies using Zvu® Software for Esophageal Manometry and Reflux Studies or BioVIEW® Software for Anorectal Manometry.

High Resolution Esophageal Manometry
Benefits and Learning Outcomes

  • Understand esophageal testing rationale and objectives by learning the fundamentals of esophageal anatomy and the physiology of swallowing
  • Become acquainted with primary motility disorders
  • Walk through the patient setup, acquisition and analysis of both an HRiM study and a reflux study utilizing Zvu® Software during a live demonstration
  • Introduction to the Chicago Classification of esophageal motility disorders

Reflux Monitoring

  • Understand esophageal testing rationale and objectives by learning the fundamentals of esophageal anatomy and the physiology of reflux
  • Become acquainted with the mechanisms of GERD
  • Walk through the patient setup, acquisition and analysis of a reflux study utilizing Zvu® Software during a live demonstration
  • Learn Z/pH monitoring data acquisition and analysis skills

High Resolution Anorectal Manometry
Benefits and Learning Outcomes

  • Understand anorectal testing rationale and objectives by learning the anatomy and physiology of the anus and rectum, sphincters, and muscle groups
  • Utilize different testing methods and the associated normal values for proper evaluation
  • Walk through the patient setup, acquisition and analysis of an anorectal study utilizing BioVIEW® Software during a live demonstration
  • Introduction to the London Classification for disorders of anorectal function
  • Learn HRaM data acquisition and analysis skills
